"My ordeal with 'My Eyelab'"
Honestly, giving them even 1 star feels like too much. I visited their location, and after getting my eyes checked, they suggested some glasses. I paid in full, and they said it would take about 2 weeks to get them ready. But here I am, over a month later, and still no glasses in sight. Each time I reach out, they just keep pushing the date back.

"My Experience with Their Contact Lens Service"
Not only did they mess up my contact prescription entirely (I actually went to TARGET the next day and the optometrist was stunned), but the store manager had the nerve to insult me when I turned down his upsell for a higher commission. They wouldn’t hand over my prescription until I bought some overpriced frames - they lied, saying it wasn’t ready while they were just typing away on their little computer. The staff were super unprofessional. Their sales skills are lacking, and the prescription was a total mess. It was a waste of my time and money. I wish I could charge them my hourly rate for the time I lost. They refused to refund me for contacts that hadn’t even arrived yet, which I couldn’t wear without causing DAMAGE to my eyes (as confirmed by a real optometrist). I finally got a refund for those after a customer service rep decided to insult me multiple times, clearly desperate for commission, and I had to quote their own policy back at them. Oh, and now it seems they didn’t even handle my insurance correctly and ordered the wrong lenses altogether. What a complete disaster. They owe me for all the time I wasted.
This place feels predatory and downright criminal.

"DECEPTIVE PRACTICES AT THIS STORE"
This company really misleads folks by claiming you can snag an eye exam and two pairs of glasses for just $95. It's a total fib. You only get that deal if your prescription meets their criteria. They conveniently leave that bit out of their ads. They reel you in, and if you're not in the know, you might think you can get the glasses after the exam, only to find out later that you don't meet the qualifications. It's a waste of time, and they just spin you a tale. They ought to be embarrassed. I went with my dad, who doesn’t have vision insurance, and this is the hassle we faced. The store claimed they do diabetes checks, but then said they don’t, and I’d have to visit another location. When I tried reaching the main office, the people I spoke to were no help, and I kept getting cut off. They ask for your phone number but never bother to call you back. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!

"Welcoming and Skilled Eye Care"
I checked out the Albermarle Road spot, and honestly, I was a bit hesitant at the beginning. But as soon as I got there, all my worries disappeared. The staff were friendly, really nice, and quite professional!! They offer a great selection of stylish frames. Top-notch service and reasonable prices!

"Terrible Experience from the Get-Go"
Giving them 1 star is honestly WAY TOO GENEROUS!!! They are just the worst. I ordered 2 pairs of glasses and waited nearly 3 weeks. One pair arrived with only ONE TEMPLE, and the lady said she couldn’t attach it. I was told to wait until Saturday for someone else who knew how to fix it... that’s another 3 days (and there were 3 workers there!). Plus, I’m still waiting another week for my second pair to arrive! Grand Prairie on 161? NEVER AGAIN!

"My experience at the lab in Marietta..."
I visited the lab in Marietta, Georgia. They are quite untrustworthy. Three weeks back, I placed an order for two pairs of glasses, but they still haven't arrived. They won't inform Acima that I haven't gotten the items. Now, I'm stuck paying for glasses I NEVER got!!!
Seriously, steer clear of this place!

"Total Scam Artists - Beware!"
These folks are total scam artists! I’ve got full coverage insurance, and they claimed they accepted it. By the end of it all, they assured me I’d only have to pay a $20 co-pay for the exam and glasses. But guess what? It ended up costing me $185! My insurance covers up to $500 for glasses and exams, and the total bill was just $433.00, yet they still charged me $185. I felt trapped; if I didn’t get the glasses, I’d still be out nearly $100 without even getting anything. So, I had no choice but to fork over the $185. Plus, their 'buy one get one free' deal? Total lies! I could only snag 60% off a second pair. Not trustworthy at all! I was lucky to have enough cash in my account to cover it, but I’m on social security disability, so my funds are super tight. I shouldn’t be paying anything out of pocket for medical expenses.

"Your team is top-notch!"
Your team is really great! They assisted me during my eye exam, and I was short on cash for my glasses. No other place has ever done that for me, and I truly appreciate it about your shop. I'm giving them a five-star rating!

"Beware of Scammers!"
I visited the store in North Richland Hills, Tx today, thinking I could snag the 2 for $95 deal. Instead, I got the runaround, and the guy told me that the offer didn’t apply to the lenses I needed. (It clearly stated single vision, which is what I was after.) He claimed it was more for kids' glasses? Seriously? Where does it mention that...oh right, it doesn’t. So, I ended up shelling out $400 for just one pair of glasses...totally absurd. I should’ve taken my prescription somewhere else that’s way cheaper. WATCH OUT, THIS PLACE IS FULL OF SCAMMERS!!! I’ve learned my lesson...I wish I could rate them zero stars here. I really want my money back!!!

"Helpful and Polite Staff"
The team was really nice and polite. They took the time to explain stuff like lineless bi-focals to an older gentleman in a way that made sense to me. Overall, it was a good experience.

"Total Time Waster"
You go in for an eye exam, only to find out the eye doctor ain't even there. I rearranged my whole schedule just to make it!

"Visited MyEyeLab"
I dropped by MyEyeLab, located at 1153 N Military Hwy Suite B, Norfolk, VA 23502. Gotta say, I was really impressed with the Office Manager and the team. I got my eyeglass prescription taken care of. They have a solid variety of frames, and the prices are reasonable. The staff is super helpful, and they provide excellent service to customers.

"Shoutout to Malik!"
Malik!! What an awesome dude! He really made my visit way better than I thought it would be. I strolled in without an appointment, just wanting to check the place out. To my surprise, I ended up getting my eye exam, picking out frames, and ordering lenses! I need to use pricey lenses since I require + lenses; regular ones would be like peering through the bottom of a soda bottle! I spent way less than I did the last time I got glasses. Being retired, I gotta watch my spending on big stuff like eyewear. Malik truly went the extra mile in assisting me with everything related to my glasses! Thanks a ton, Malik! Opelika, Alabama

"Deceptive Marketing Tactics"
Deceptive marketing tactics. They say you can snag 2 for $90— but after all those extra charges (like the 'frame club', warranties, and whatnot), you can't walk out with even a single pair of specs for less than $300. Getting two pairs would set you back $500. And when you try to cash in on the warranty a few months down the line (thanks to their shoddy quality), unlike any other eyewear provider, they still hit you with a 20% fee based on the retail price. That’s definitely not under $90! Ha! By the time the year wraps up, these cheap glasses might end up costing me a grand! Terrible, terrible business.

"Deceptive Practices"
I reached out to the office on Bandera and got disconnected four times. After that, I tried another location and verified your advertisement for two pairs of glasses, including the refraction and lens upgrade for $95. Once I had that confirmation, I scheduled an appointment for my wife. When we got there, I was informed it was a buy one, get one free deal. When I brought up the ad, the front desk staff just brushed it off. Her only response was that they can't guarantee their pricing. Seriously, where did she learn customer service? At a manure factory? She completely shut down any questions I had. I'm extremely unhappy and wouldn't recommend Eyelab to anyone. It feels like a classic scam—advertise one thing and then switch it up when you arrive, with no explanation.
